"Big Lou at you again with another unbiased review and let's just say as a former restaurant owner,one of the things that has always gotten me is how well they all take pride and ownership in what they do and it's a damn great job. Great Mexican style chicken on the grill, seasoned just right, French fries, macaroni salad, corn tortillas, pico,gotta go,placing an order now,buen provecho."

"Honestly when I went to McAllen, I was expecting to eat some of the best Mexican food of my life. Every sit-down restaurant I went to disappointed me with dry, overcooked meat. The best meal I ate in McAllen was honestly from Pollo Palenque! The chicken was so flavorful! This place is like El Pollo Loco, but so much better! The fresh salsa bar and the free chips seals the deal, and my sides of charro beans and mac salad were both great as well (even though the mac salad had ham in it and I'm really not into that, it was still good). Seems crazy to say about a fast food joint, but if there was one place make a point to eat at again if I'm in McAllen, it's here. Really could use a good scrub-down, though. Only complaint is that the place is rather dirty."

"Grilled chicken always makes a delicious dinner to take home. Everyone enjoyed dinner and the side dishes were just as good. I recommend their rice. It’s always very flavorful. The atmosphere of the restaurant is busy and always people walking around. We prefer to enjoy this dinner at home."

"Second night in a row eating here! The chicken in moist and the best tasting roasted/grilled chicken I've eaten. LOVE the rice and the service is exceptionable! I would give 6 start if possible. Price is great, food is fresh and they keep the store very clean! Excellent deal for your money and I would pay much more for the amazing food served here! Love it!!"

"This place looks pretty grungy on the outside. On the inside too. But the food and service is awesome. I have eaten at quite a few grilled/rotisserie chicken places. The flavor they have is spot on. There is a chip and salsa bar. Full of sauces, onions, cilantro, Serrano peppers. I ordered the three piece dark. Charro beans and macaroni salad for the sides. On my repeat eat list when I’m in town."
